Judging from Lohr's idiotic statements and drivelboy and jonesessess complete claptrap from the rightwing 'think' tanks, the GOP has the embecile vote all locked up. I'm left wondering how the losers on the GOP side can convince all these lizard brains to vote agains their own interests?

blackwater, I have found you cannot argue with people who think reality is a theory. Good luck with arguing with brainless, thoughtless un-American know-nothings. I've finished wasting my time on this idiotic site. Good luck to all you real Americans who truly do want to move this country forward and not backward to the dark ages.

The trouble with punks like rolando is they've seen too many movies and t.v. shows and have the false notion that real life is like their mindnumbingly dumb 'reality' shows. Nobody is trying to take a sane, reasonable person's firearm from them, so stop with the b.s. rolando, I don't think there are any kids on this site that might possibly believe any of your perverted thoughts.

The problem with Manning is he has not been found guilty of anything and it's looking more and more likely that he will come out of this being the hero and not the villain. Why do the people in this country want to be lied to about what their government is doing in "our" name and on our watch? What kind of country have we become that we condone toruturers and liars to get us into an illegal war, but condemn someone trying to get the truth to us poor peasants. It's a shame there are so many brainwashed in this country who really just don't care any more about doing the right thing for all of mankind and our planet.

From what I've seen at my local WalMart and Publix, it's possibly a good time to put some kind of meter on food intake. When you start looking like the pigs and cows you have piled in your shopping cart, it's an ugly sight. Step back and look in that full length mirror and see what a loathsome looking hunk of flab amurikuns have become. Unfortunately, we are what we eat and think. Our diet on any given day is junk food for the body and more junk food for the brain.

Seems rolando needs to get with the program -- WE HAVE AN ALL VOLUNTEER force, so why would anybody have to lie about avoiding service? They can just sit at their keyboards and degrade those that do serve.

Clara, this is from Guardian/UK website 12/10:

Manning, who was arrested seven months ago, is being held at a military base in Virginia and faces a court martial and up to 52 years in prison for his alleged role in copying the cables.

His friends and supporters also claim they have been the target of extra-judicial harassment, intimidation and outright bribery by US government agents.

According to David House, a computer researcher from Boston who visits Manning twice a month, he is starting to deteriorate. "Over the last few weeks I have noticed a steady decline in his mental and physical wellbeing," he said. "His prolonged confinement in a solitary holding cell is unquestionably taking its toll on his intellect; his inability to exercise due to (prison) regulations has affected his physical appearance in a manner that suggests physical weakness."

By the way, anniebelle, I caught up on my reading of several blogs yesterday and I noted your work that you do at the retirement homes. I believe I may have met you while my mother was living in a nearby retirement home. This lady was an older woman in a wheel chair with her two most beautiful, handsome dogs. My children always wanted to visit on Sunday because they knew that you would be there. Anyway, if that wasn't you, thanks anyway, it is definitely a treat for all the residents and visitors. Also I appreciate your fortitude in getting the truth out on this board.

It's amazing to me how these republicans can be so nonchalant about our tax dollars. As long as it's for their bankster buddies, that's just fine. And who among us can forget the nonchalant attitude about "losing" nearly $9 billion of money supposedly spent on Iraqi reconstruction that to this day is unaccounted for -- this all happened in 2005 -- and who was in charge of guarding our tax dollars -- the republican cabal for the filthy rich. I mean, really, how can you just lose $9 Billion -- it's in somebody's bank account.

I really don't think Bennett's cartoons should be allowed to be read by the mentally impaired, but I see some take the challenge.
