Thanks payingattention.
Good job of researching this organization.
I always enjoy your comments and agree that we , as taxpayers, can't afford to fund these types of organizations when they operate in the red.
How can you exprapolate the actions of one man to an entire state?Maybe some of the other 49 states don't have people who make mistakes. Do your research and move there. GO VOLS!!
$15 million dollars for a THREE mile section to be added to the Riverwalk?? Best I can tell that's $5 million dollars a mile !!
Can't we get a greater benefit by spending this money (which we don't have) elsewhere or simply saving the funds and not digging our debt hole even deeper??
This is not an issue about Democrats or Republicans as best I can tell. It is an issue of theft. I don't buy the MC's explanation that all the money has been accounted for. Let's wait for the investigation to be completed and the FBI give the MC a clean bill.
Thanks for your post Facts. I agree with you almost entirely with one exception. The Gospel is a simple message and many preachers do a good job of presenting it to the people sitting in the pews. The people in the pews , however , do not have "ears to hear."
Blaming Muslims for our problems on spiritual matters is closley akin to blaming politicians for the failure of our government. It's not the politicians who are ruining our country , it's the voters who vote for them. Look in the mirror if you have a problem with current events.
If you feel unsafe in a non sprinklered bar , DON"T GO IN!!
Go to one that does have sprinklers. Let the free market and individual choice determine the final outcome of this issue - not more government regulation.
It was the stormwater fee last year along with a 19% increase in property taxes so we can have our "big brother" city government protect us and look out for our welfare.
This proposed ordinance is nothing more than another intrusion on free enterprise. I hope it fails and never sees the light of day.
Every time I read something concerning the city council or Mayor I am reminded of the tax increases rammed down our throats by both. Stormwater and property as well.
As a refresher , the councilmembers who were in lock step with Littlefield in raising our taxes are LADD,ROBINSON,BERZ,RICO, and BENSON. Their votes should be remembered at the next election. Had either one of these voted against the Mayor's budget , we would now be in much better shape.
Harp 3399 hit's the nail on the head. These people have forgotten that they work for us taxpayers- we don't work for them. The public dole is completely out of hand as compared to the private sector. If these people had to earn a living in private enterprise they would starve to death.
The government "shrine" at 1250 Market street should be downsized.
Those voting against the tax increase were MURPHY,SCOTT,McGARY and GILBERT. Whatever their motives , their votes speak volumes.

Taking Christmas out of the church
As a member of St. Thaddeus , I'm sorry I wasn't there on that Sunday. This story makes me proud to be associated with this church & Hugh Jones.
