Been a while since I commented due to that pesky job I have sucking up all my time, however I had to today. Love the Fletch reference. While Fletch was certainly superior, the whenever I think of that movie I think of Fletch Lives and the pink Cadillac with no brakes. Always good for a laugh, especially while waiting for quitting time.
UTC's own TO? I hear he is having some financial problems....
I find it pretty sad that these guys squander so much money, you would think that at some point when they were in college they would have taken a basic finance class. Heck, everyone should be required to do that, there are plenty of non-athletes that can't act responsibly either. Especially Iverson considering he went to such a great school. However, I know the NFL (and I assume the NBA) provides plenty of seminars and classes, etc. on how to stay out of trouble and be responsible with your money. These guys don't work 12 months a year, they have plenty of time to learn how to manage their money. It defies reason and is very sad.
Given that the Vols couldn't be any worse off than they are now, I agree with the Great Pumpkin. He probably would have at least had them going to a bowl game, and the Pumpkin NEVER lost to Kentucky.
The Wisconsin v. Oregon and Ok St. v. Stanford games should be great today, but I really would have rather watched them yesterday. I agree on the Mich. St. call, they are really good and have not gotten much hype this year. Their defense will be tough for UGA to deal with. Let's hope for more SEC dominance, but I do not have much hope for a Florida team that doesn't have an offensive coordinator, even a bad one.
I guess this is opinion so we can comment. Did I miss something? Did the TFP become a religion publication? Maybe if this newspaper wants to be taken seriously it should dispense with such drivel and stick to the news.
While I decry any restriction of free speech, I feel like the TFP is doing the right thing. The Commercial Appeal here in Memphis (until they went behind a paywall) had unlimited commentary and it pretty much degenerated into a free for all every day with same people spewing hateful comments towards each other regardless of what the story was about. Let's keep it civil people. Happy new year.
Regardless of your political point of view, I think we can all agree that Clay has provided us with countless moments of entertainment, and if nothing else has sparked our imaginations, and hopefully tickled our funny bones. Happy new year Clay, and Happy new year to all the TFP commenters regardless of their political persuasion.

Also, I would punch Blake Griffin and Chris Paul for all the diving. And Roger Goodell, that guy is a tyrant.

a. Especially the guys who went back west to where they were from. If I were a vols fan, I would be more worried about what the offense is doing.

Should any means be used to save a soul? Can you go too far in trying to save a soul?
