whats wrong with you people? you are not senators,, or congressmen,,,you are public servants,, you get paid for your service.if you dont like the pay quit.you should not get innsurance,, pensions,, just the pay,,,,money for your time.just something else for the tax payers to take care of...check with the city commissioners they really know how to balance a budget,, they take the easy way and vote a tax increase.
what we need to do,,, is when election time comes,, get new council members.. if they were smart they would be able to handle the budget without a property tax increase.i have been a tax payer in chattanooga,,, property tax payer for forty years and the only benefeits i get is garbage service.i belive the council members took the easy way out for voting this way...shame on you....go back to school and learn how to balance a budget,,,, quit spending my money foolishly...
