We are people who vaccinated their children, watched our children get sick after those vaccinations and then have several symptoms listed on vaccine adverse reaction package inserts (like seizures, fevers, GI distress, etc) and THEN loss of all skills resulting in a regressive diagnosis of autism.
I have 3 children that had reactions to vaccines, the one with the worst reactions regressed fully into autism. Vaccine involvement is not something someone else convinced me of, no one had to. It was definitely a factor in tipping my child over. He is 10 also, and still non verbal as far as conversational ability and cannot be left alone for a minute. Autism is not some mild issue that can be solved by telling me, Jeff or any other parent that has watched their child go through this, that our eyes have deceived us. This diagnosis has serious medical and physical consequences that can result in a lifetime of dependence.
If your child went through what ours did you would not question vaccine involvement either, and you do everything you could to fight for science and medical treatments to understand the "why" so that proper UNDERLYING treatments can be developed. These children deserve nothing less than all we have.
