Walden's comment history

Jay- William Munny in Unforgiven, for sure. Your facts are a bit off, but that is OK. He actually heads into town to kill Little Bill after slamming half a bottle of Whisky -- his first drink in years. In fact, the whisky and his killing ways were part and parcel of his former psyche, which his deceased wife cured him of. But the ferocity with which he dispatches that entire saloon of expert shooters is a good allegory for what Peyton will do to the NFL this Fall!

good commentary bandmom. As a resident of Walden's Ridge, I have watched the progress of this school from a close distance. I have thus far been unimpressed with what I have seen, but I know better days are to come for this school. Perhaps my expecatations, along with those of the broader community, were set too high at the outset. We must remember that this school is still subject to oversight from a government bureaucracy. I think the most troubling thing I have observed is the way that the football coach seemed to roll over the principal. I don't know McCullough that well (I have met with him once). He seems like a nice guy, but also seems kind of watered down. This school needs a tough love kind of principal. For now, I shall continue squirreling away my pennies to pay for private education for my children.

TFP's Libby editor wrote, "...Barack Obama’s statement Wednesday in support of same-sex marriage for gay couples clearly puts him on the right side of history."

Ah, nice feelgood Lib cliche, but history remains, and will always be, what we have experienced, not what we wish for. Chew on that one for a while libtards.

Fact: 32 of 32 states that have put marriage on the ballot have affirmed the institution as being between one man and one woman. I suspect more are to follow.

It shall be fun to watch the Left squirm over the decision whether to keep the convention in Charlotte! Hee hee...

The lefty editorialist wrote, "The case rightly elicited outrage in Sanford -- and across the nation -- as details of the shooting spread."

Funny thing, how many other killings occurred that same night, in situations involving black on black, or black on white crime? Why no outrage for those? Why should this case evoke such outrage, when all those others do not? What about the crime in South Florida where two white British tourists were murdered in cold blood by blacks? Why no editorial on that one? Why no outrage? Could it be because it doesn't serve your lefty narrative of blacks being so horribly oppressed in this country, in this modern age, that they still need so much coddling from the Government? Just asking. Where's the outrage?

There is no way that pandering "special" prosecutor is going to hang Murder 2 on this guy. Maybe reckless endangerment, or possibly manslaughter.

For the record, Zimmerman should be tried, and I am glad he is going to have his day in court. He is guilty of something, and should pay a price for his malfeasance, but the trial by media that has occurred in this instance is sickening.

MTJ - I would also suggest that your comment regarding our inability to "... relate with God on the basis of human reasoning and understanding" lacks a basic knowledge of Christian Faith, and why Jesus was sent to Earth to remedy that very problem.

MTJohn - I was unaware that the Scripture ever contemplated foolishness on the part of God. Not sure if I want you to enlighten me, but whatever...

MTJohn - all good and well. I have often said that I believe that one day, Science will discover God, and boy, does that scare the crap out of the left.

Ikeithlu - re-read what I wrote, without your jaded glasses on, and re-think. Do you have nothing to offer other than your preconceived notions of why we are here?

EaTn - good comments on this thread. I agree with you almost entirely. Is it more unbelievable to think that a benign God created all of the complexity of life (think, for example, the human eye), or is it more unbelievable to think that all of this complexity was borne of some great cosmic collision of "stuff" some billions of years ago? Ponder that over your bong hits tonight Libbies.

joneses, the Supreme Court does not need to read the bill to make a judgment on the constitutionality of the individual mandate.
