One correction to your spot on the Braves, Jay: Venters got the win last night, not Beachy. Beachy did have a great game though! And Venters is now 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA! I just don't understand why Medlen isn't in the rotation yet. He could easily be our number 2 starter behind Huddy. Freddie needs to get his act to get on that call, me thinks.

Redlegs, don't forget that the Bear was known to be a real jerk at times and tough on his players, and he's a legend. "Heros come and go, kid, but legends never die." And like it or not Saban is a winner on the field, and that is the name of the game.

P.s. there are stupid fans of every team.

5er, do you know if Brady is the first QB to throw a TD pass and safety in one half of the superbowl? And I still maintain the belief that Peyton is the king of reading and adjusting to defensive strategy.

Sometimes I like to pretend all the years between Gene Stallings and Nick Saban never really happened. Obviously, I couldn't be happier with the coach we've got now. Roll Tide!

I'm not sure if you saw my post on yesterday's thread this morning before this thread went up, but I'm picking Vandy 14-10.

Also, I'm not a believer in a team being required to win a conference title game to make it to the BCS title game. What about all the teams who don't have a conference title game available? Kind of a double standard there, right? I HATE THE BCS!!!!! This is yet another great reason why we need a playoff system. 5-at-10, please fix the college football postseason!

I couldn't agree more about "Roll Tide/War Eagle!" And to think I was really looking forward to seeing that one before I started watching it. Oh well... ROLL TIDE!

Signal Mtn. is a 2A school, but the TSSAA allows any school to choose to play up to a higher class in any sport of their choosing. Since Signal football dominates in 2A, they chose to move up to 4A. There are plenty of schools in the state that choose to move up to a larger class. The only one I remember for sure was that when Red Bank won their 5A state championship in 2001, they were a 4A school.
