I wholeheartedly support this bill and encourage everyone to contact his/her local officials to put it in place. This is long overdue. We are new to Tennessee also, and I cannot tell you how surprised we were that there is so much litter everywhere. The plastic bottles along the shoreline of the Mighty Mississippi are not only an eyesore, but a constant reminder of the total disregard for our environment. This bottle bill would create jobs and recycle aluminum and plastic containers. We cannot expect to keep up the pace of producing "things" without recycling them. We have become a society of "takers." Let's give something back, everyone. For our future.
