The Irish to face Baylor Thursday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Father Ryan rallied to score two goals in the second half to defeat McCallie and advance to the Division II-AA state title match. The Irish will face Baylor Thursday at 8 at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Baylor soccer team defeated Christian Brothers 2-0 to advance to the Division II-AA state championship match. Ramsay Seagle scored both goals for the Red Raiders (11-3-4), who had a standout defensive effort.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Baylor girls tennis team claimed their second consecutive Division II-AA state title, defeating rival GPS 4-1 in the championship. Samantha Caswell, Maggie Crumbliss and Mary Walker Mixon claimed wins in singles for the Lady Red Raiders. Mary Claire Spann claimed the Bruisers' sole win.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Collegedale tennis team's season came to a close in the Class A/AA state finals, where they fell 4-2 to Unicoi County. The Eagles (17-4) got singles wins from Michael Chung and Austin Lee.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Notre Dame tennis team claimed a win by Sarah Joyce and Danika Dorris at No. 1 doubles to win their first-ever state championship, defeating Christian Academy of Knoxville 4-3 in the Class A/AA state title match.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- For the Collegedale Academy boys' tennis players, the road to their first state tournament was far worse than the pressure of actually playing in it. At least, that's how it looked on the court Tuesday.
