William Lonnie Hughes, 90, of Hixson, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010.He retired from the Chattanooga Electric Power Board serving as Display Director, served in the United States Air Force during WWII and was a renowned local artist.He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Renee Malone; parents, Robert L. and Sarah Hoosier Hughes; and brothers, Turney Hughes, Jesse "Bud" Hughes and Luther Hughes; sisters, Beulah Warren, Edith Rolland, Estoria Rogers and Annie Day.Survivors include wife, Nina McCurry Hughes; daughter, Bonnie Womack, both of Hixson; sons, Larry Hughes and Paul Hughes of Chattanooga and Paul Knight, of Phoenix, Ariz.Visitation will be in Middle Cross Baptist Church today, Sept. 10, from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-11 a.m.The Rev.
