BIG STONE GAP, Va. Theda Marie Carroll, 86, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at her home, Big Stone Gap.She was a member of East Stone Gap United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clyde Carroll; and a daughter, Dotty Patrick.She is survived by four sons, Daniel Carroll, of Chattanooga, David Carroll, of Bossier City, La., Doug Carroll, of Big Stone Gap, Va., Steve Carroll, of Appalachia, Va.; two daughters, Doris Stapleton and Debbie Gilly, both of Big Stone Gap; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Morris of Morristown, Tenn., J.E. Morris, of Derby, Va.; two sisters, Sue Phillips, of Dayton, Ohio, Judy Donovan, of Lewisville, Ohio.Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at East Stone Gap United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Sprinkle and Rev. Brad Stapleton officiating.The body will be taken to the church one hour before services.Burial will follow in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.The family will receive friends at Roy A. Green Funeral Home, Appalachia, from 5-8 p.m. today.
