Ruby Lee Roark, 57, a resident of Birchwood, passed away Tuesday evening, Sept. 9, 2010, in a Chattanooga hospital.Ruby was the daughter of the late Martha Bettis Neely and Cecil Eugene "Gene" Neely. Her infant daughter, Candace Dawn Roark and her sister, Shirley Hardin also preceded her in death.Ruby was employed with the Hamilton County Board of Education with many years of service. She was a faithful member of Maple Grove Baptist Church in Harrison.Survivors include her husband, Raul P. Roark, of Birchwood; her sons, Robert Roark and his wife, Kristin, of Harrison, Ryan Roark and his wife Shannon, of Birchwood; her granddaughter, Ainsley Roark of Harrison, her sisters, Judy Harden and her husband, Billy and Vickey Goodner, all of Birchwood. Several wonderful nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted today at noon from Maple Grove Baptist Church in Harrison, with Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating.Interment will follow in McInturff Cemetery with David Hardin, Randy Hardin, Josh Goodner, Darryl Orr, Charles Morrow, Mike Bradshaw and Bill Dover serving as pallbearers.A Dove release will conclude the services.The North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
