MURRELLS INLET, S.C Harry B. Rambo, 85, died at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010.Born on April 13, 1925 in Natrona Heights, Pa., He attended Purdue University, North Carolina State and graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. Most of his schooling took place as part of the ROTC program in WWII. He was very proud of the fact that his diploma was presented by General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Harry worked at Alleghany Energy for 42 years, ending his career as the head of the rate department located in Hagerstown, Md. He was also a charter member of the Leitersburg Lions Club and was active in the organization for many years. Harry was an avid reader and a member of Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church in Garden City, S.C.He is survived by Ann G. Rambo, his wife of 62 years; sister, Helen King and her husband, Steven and family of N. Chatham, Mass.; daughters, Elizabeth Temple and her husband, David, of Chattanooga, and Nancy Bachtell and her husband, Richard, of Hagerstown, Md.; He is also survived by one grandson, Christopher, his wife, Kristi, and his two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Cody, of Hagerstown, Md.The family expresses appreciation to the Heartland Hospice and Comfort Keepers for their support and assistance.The family will hold at memorial service in Hagerstown, Md. at a later date.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, P.O.
