Donald W. Swisher, 76, died at his home on Signal Mountain, Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, with his wife and daughter at his side.He was born in Sioux City, Iowa on April 5, 1934 to Walter and Irene Swisher.He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Donald Daniel Swisher.He leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Victoria; children, Dawn Marie Larkin, Texas, Christopher (Cathy) Brigman, Washington, Barry Swisher, Cindy Swisher, Mark (Marsha) Swisher, Kevin (April) Swisher, Brian (Cristy) Brigman; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom (Erma) Swisher, Jerry (Sue) Swisher, Diana Swisher, Barb (Sylvester) Kasparzak; and several nieces and nephews.He attended Hammond High School and Purdue University with a degree in metalogy.He was a member of St. Timothy Episcopal Church and was the Plant Manager there for 11 years.He leaves us with a legacy of compassion, dignity, honesty and a joy of life.The funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy Episcopal Church, 630 Mississippi Ave., Signal Mountain at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, with Father George Choyce officiating.The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall from noon-1 p.m. Saturday.Visit www.lanefh.com to share condolences.Arrangements by Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
