Clide L. Crider, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010.Clide was born in Memphis, Tenn. He was raised in Murray, Ky., where he graduated high school and also graduated from Murray State University. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran and retired as a claims adjuster for General Adjustment Bureau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Martha Crider and brother, Leon Crider.Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Sonja H. Crider; sister, Nancy (Relus) Woods Sr.; brother, Albert (June) Crider; sister-in-law, Diane (Donald) Henry; nephews and nieces, Kathy Long, Joan Lainhart, Charles Relus Woods Jr., Vickey Hearell, Mickel Woods and Peggy VaGorp; and special friend, Charlie Howell.Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at the funeral home.Graveside Services will be at 3 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens East with Minister Ken Willis, of Ridgedale Church of Christ, officiating.Memorial donations may be made to Ridgedale Church of Christ, 1005 Dodds Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
