Basil Washington Jenkins, 72, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at a local healthcare facility. He was a member of Spring City Church of God. He was a very giving person with time and talent and loved driving his tractor and camping and was a big UT fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Jenkins; parents, Samuel and Mae Jenkins.He is survived by his son, Sam (Patti) Jenkins, of Hixson; daughters, Teresa (Gary) Chapman and Tammy (Chandra) Manandhar, both of Soddy-Daisy; brothers, Cecil Jenkins, Ronald Jenkins; grandchildren, Megan, Hannah, Laura and Libby Jenkins, Drew Keith, Matthew and Joshua Chapman, Rachel and Benjamin Manandhar.Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Sam Philips officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors. Family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
