LaFAYETTE Robert Eugene Cleckler, 71, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his parents, DeForest Cleckler Jr. and Mary Esther Scoggins Cleckler.Robert was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 49 years, Survived by wife of 48 years, Sandra Johnson Cleckler, of LaFayette; daughter, Andrea Cleckler, of Chickamauga, brother, Thomas Cleckler, of Adairsville, Ga.; aunt, Emma Jean Woods Scoggins; uncle, William Fred Scoggins Jr.; several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 547 Roadrunner Blvd., (LaFayette bypass) LaFayette, Ga. Officiating minister will be David Dixon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses to further the world wide work. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Horne, of LaFayette.
