Amanda Elizabeth Torrence, 93, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010.She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was of the Baptist faith. Amanda was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Torrence; son, John Lee Torrence; and three sisters, Patricia Hogan, Anna Lee Smith and Ruby Seigle.Survivors include her son, Billy Eugene Torrence; sisters, Johnnie Bowman and Sarah Martha Moore; cousin, Ron Callaway; numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, Sept. 3, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
