Annie Ruth King, 77, made her transition on Tuesday, July 27, 2010.She was a faithful servant of God and will be remembered by the many lives she touched. Annie Ruth retired from Macke Corporation and Shaw Industries.She was preceded in death by her parents, James Holloway Sr. and Susie M. Davis; son, Curtis L. McDonald; aunt, Ida L. Wilson; and stepson, Bernard King.She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Eddie Lee King; daughter, Pauletta (Albert) McCollum, Arlington, Tenn.; son, William V. (Margaret) McDonald, Austin, Texas; stepdaughter, Jacqueline Moore and cousin, Bobby (Margaret) Burton, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Ethel Holloway, California, Dorothy Nickson, Birmingham, Ala. and Linda (Ray) Isreal, Virginia; stepmother, Nancy Holloway, Birmingham; brothers, James (Clara) Holloway Jr. and Johnny (Juliette) Holloway, Birmingham; grandchildren, Charlton McCollum, Memphis, Tenn., Alkesha McCollum, Brentwood, Tenn., Shawn (Keisha) McDonald, Queens, N.Y., Shalle (Stefan) Bosman, Miguel McDonald and William McDonald, Austin, Texas; stepgrandson, Terrence Young, Chattanooga; and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010, at noon at Greater Friendship M.B. Church on Park Avenue.Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today, family members will be present.The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
