about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

Many dictatorial governments have evolved from peoples willingness to sacrifice freedoms and liberties for perceived security. Should we worry when someone says trust me, unchecked authority is needed it is for you we do the spying, covert operations and punishment we deem is for the greater good. We should not be punished for a lie to congress to keep secrets about the surveillance of citizens of the U.S.

That's right, fairmon. Once a government gets control and more power they don't give it up. Once you lose freedoms, or give them up, you don't get them back.

No, he still thinks BO is campaigning to be president. BO does a good job of making it seem that he's not part of D.C., so I think Bennett buys into it.

You partisan hacks, both parties are responsible for this. Very few made a peep when Congress and the President first passed the Patriot Act to keep us safe from terrorists. In fact, people's "patriotism" was challenged if they opposed the PA. Anyone that is even remotely surprised what happened with the NSA must have had their head buried deep in their a$$ for the past decade.

Connie, read this until you comprehend it.

I don't care what day you set aside to worship the Lord. You believe it to be perfectly within your right, as a Gentile, to do this on Sunday. You're in good company, for the Catholics set aside that day as well, and in fact were provably the first to do it.

The right or wrong to it is between God and those who believe it to be a-okay to observe a Sunday Sabbath. One day, and none of us knows when that day will come, we'll both know the truth.

In the meantime, do you ever know when to quit? You're bat-crap crazy to repost your insanity over and over.

Repetitive posting indicates a severe case of insecurity with one's position.

Sure you don't and that is why you have made feeble and unsuccessful efforts many times to push the notion that Christians are to meet and worship on the Sabbath (Saturday).

Don't you get it? You do as you please. Meet on a Tuesday for all I care. You're very good at justifying what you believe appears in the Bible. Why should this issue be any different?

Nothing in the Bible overturns or exempts a thing for Christians, given that the very word "Christian" appears in the ENTIRE MODERN Bible only three times.

Three times. That's it!!

Where in the world are all these alternative instructions that only apply to Gentile Christians?

There are none. Christians barely get a nod in the Bible.

Rather telling, don't you think?

Bet you have an explanation for that too.

I can't wait to read it.

No, new converts, Christians, set aside Sunday, the Lord's day, the first day of the week, to meet, observe the Lord's Supper and worship within days after Jesus arose and showed Himself to His disciples.

If you want to challenge that again I will repost the proof that is readily available by scrolling up.

You can make all the claims you want about the Catholic Church being the first to meet on Sunday, it just isn't so. The Baptist could claim the same by calling all the first converts Baptists.

I will remind you that you previously claimed the Catholic Church made the decision to change the day of worship in A.D. 364. After I corrected you once again you moved the date.

I have "comprehended" you for years.

Connie, if we are all descendants of Noah's family, as the Bible clearly states, then every living person today could not be descendants of anyone Jewish.

Therefore, if the Bible only applies to ancient Jews, as you have so eloquently suggested, your story has a big hole in it.

The Bible is therefore a useless collection of Godly inspired commandments and edicts, because the Jews were wiped out by the mass murder of everyone but Noah's family, which is outlined outlined in Genesis.

I sure hope you aren't going to suggest that anyone else survived the Great Flood, because the Bible makes it clear that this was not possible.

It's so wonderful that you have freed me from worrying about my committing an unpardonable sin, because the Ten Commandments do not apply to me.

Hail Conman!!!

There is no argument to win. You haven't made a valid point yet, that hasn't been trounced ten times over.

I want to know where all these instructions may be read that only pertain to Christians in the Bible.

According to your testimony, the Bible is filled with all these instructions that allegedly tells me as an excluded Gentile or a Christian, that I am exempt from the Ten Commandments.
