Crime Stoppers: Chattanooga home burglary suspect sought

Chattanooga police are looking for a woman in connection with a Feb. 19 residential burglary.

In a news release, police said the resident at 1118 Orange Wood Ave. called police shortly after 5 a.m. to report someone had stolen a wallet, purse, cash and a 1997 Nissan Sentra.

Police said they had stopped the vehicle earlier that night for a traffic violation, before it was reported stolen, and written a ticket to the driver, Katrena Larue Benn.

Police are seeking Benn, 47, on charges of burglary and theft.

She is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 159 pounds. Her last known address is 812 W. 13th St., Chattanooga.

Anyone with information leading to her arrest could be eligible for a confidential cash reward up to $1,000. Call 423-698-3333.
