Grant to help pay for extension of Riverwalk to Lookout Mountain

A federal grant is going to help pay part of the cost of extending Riverwalk from its current end at Ross’s Landing to St. Elmo and the foot of Lookout Mountain.

Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield and Gov. Bill Haslam made the announcement about the $2.3 million grant this afternoon.

The proposed extension of Riverwalk, when completed, will extend the walkway about 3 to 3.5 miles.
