Two girls, both 5, drown in pool
Police say two 5-year-old girls drowned Sunday afternoon in a backyard swimming pool in Paulding County.
Dallas police Sgt. Bill Gorman told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the deaths occurred between 2 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. at a home on Mirage Lane in the Vista Lake subdivision.
Gorman said one of the girls lived at the home, and the other was the granddaughter of the family's live-in housekeeper.
Police say other family members had gone grocery shopping and returned home looking for their daughter. Police say the 10-year-old brother of one of the girls found them at the bottom of the pool.
