KNOXVILLE — Tennessee's football team now knows when it will return to the field.
The Volunteers begin four weeks of spring practice on March 26 and play the Orange and White Game on April 21 at 2:30 p.m., the program announced early Tuesday evening. UT will practice four days during weeks one and three and three days during weeks two and four.
UT will hold its pro day on the indoor field at the Neyland-Thompson Sports Center on March 16. Defensive lineman Malik Jackson and tailback Tauren Poole are the only two Vols who were invited to the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis later this month (Feb. 22-28). They will join a trio of ex-UT players (UTC quarterback B.J. Coleman, Louisiana Tech tailback Lennon Creer and McNeese State defensive back Janzen Jackson) in the pre-draft event.
The Vols also announced their spring and summer dates for on-campus coaches' clinics and player camps. The one-day offensive/defensive linemen (June 2) and two three-day camps for high school players (June 11-13 and July 16-18) are the most notable dates. All three events provide chances for players to visit campus and for UT's coaches to further evaluate prospects.
