Court-Appointed Special Advocates of Bradley County will host a Red Shoe Gala on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m. in the Old Woolen Mill, 445 Church St. in Cleveland, Tenn..
The gala raises funds for recruiting, training and supervising volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children in the Bradley County court system due to abuse or neglect.
The red shoe theme represents Dorothy's shoes in "The Wizard of Oz" and their role in the journey to find her home. CASA's mission is to find safe, permanent homes for children.
The fundraiser will feature a silent auction, live music, a disc jockey and food by Al Shabibi Catering.
Cleveland City Schools Director Dr. Martin Ringstaff will emcee the party. Party guests are encouraged to wear red shoes, and the best red shoes of the evening in several categories will be selected by local personalities.
