The Chattanooga Lookouts are hosting their annual "College Football Night" tonight, with numerous ticket giveaways between play of the series finale against the Jacksonville Suns. The Lookouts won Friday night's matchup 6-3 on a three-run home run to right field by Nick Buss in the bottom of the 11th inning.
Chattanooga (32-22) has won four straight games against Jacksonville.
Lookouts assistant general manager John Maedel said Friday afternoon that a pair of tickets will be given away to the Alabama-Tennessee, Georgia-Georgia Tech, Tennessee-Kentucky, Alabama-Florida Atlantic and Auburn-New Mexico State games, and that two pairs of tickets will be given away to the Tennessee-Georgia game.
There also will be a pair of tickets to the Southeastern Conference championship game and four season tickets to University of Tennessee at Chattanooga home games.
"The matchups are much better," Maedel said. "We tried to step it up this year."
Jacksonville pulled into a 2-2 tie in the eighth inning Friday on a passed ball and then took a 3-2 lead in the 10th when Daniel Pertusati tripled to center and scored on a bunt by Donnie Webb. The Lookouts were down to their final out in the 10th when J.T. Wise and Blake Smith had consecutive doubles to tie the game.
