about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

IT'S ONLY A TEST

The republican party is all about purity tests these days. Like Reagan said, trust but verify, and It's important to know where everyone stands on important conservative issues.

Like tax cuts for the rich, evolution, water pollution, tax cuts for the rich, air pollution, immigrantion, tax cuts for the rich, birth control, abortion, tax cuts for the rich, climate change, alternative energy...

Gosh, the list goes on and on, but not everyone in America is really conservative enough to qualify these days as being a genuine conservative.

Heck, not everyone in the republican party qualifies.

But let's forget about the idealogical split in the GOP for a second and think about how Romeny is going to get elected president. George W. campaigned for latino votes in 2000, got about 42%, and 'squeaked' into office. He got about 44% in 2004 and barely won re-election. McCain only got about 30% in 2008 and lost to Obama. Right now Romney is polling under 20% and his promise to veto the 'dream act,' (originally a republican initiative) may push that number even lower.

Maybe one of you tea bagging right wing posters will give us examples of how republicans in general and Romney in particular will appeal to latino voters. Is there any policy being forwarded by the GOP that caters to any voting bloc outside the 1%?

Seriously, I know it's early, but I can't find a thing.

Here's a slogan:

ROMNEY Not Rich Enough

Most all the capitalistic countries are going into a birth rate decline which ultimately could result in unsustainable economic growth. The Europeans are depending on foreign workers from the middle east to fill the gap, which has brought on culture/religion issues. We have an abundance of southern border workers which at some point in time we will gladly embrace..and now may be the time to eliminate the drug smuggling issue and plan for a positive transition. Sooner or later we will have to face the fact that drug-prohibition as currently exists is not working. Obama or Romney will definitely have to face this issue the next four years.

Romney would throw his own mother under the bus to win the White House. He wrote the book on flip-flops. Interesting to see just how many times he walks back something he's said during the primaries. It will be a classic to watch. LOL

1 On Immigration - For A Path To Citizenship

FLIP: “Gov. Mitt Romney expressed support ... for an immigration program that places large numbers of illegal residents on the path toward citizenship ... Romney said illegal immigrants should have a chance to obtain citizenship.” (Evan Lehmann, “Romney Supports Immigration Program, But Not Granting ‘Amnesty’,” The Lowell Sun, 3/30/06)

FLOP: “[I] think I’m best off to describe my own positions. And my positions, I think I’ve just described for you – secure the border, employment verification and no special pathway to citizenship. I feel that’s the course we ought to take.” (CNN’s “The Situation Room,” 5/22/07)

Only this isn’t some little fund from shadowy private sources; this is taxpayer money, redirected to help Obama win another term. A massive amount of it, too — $8.3 billion. Yes, that’s billion, with a B. Here is how it works. To prove the point, I might just take a hidden camera and look up someone who hasn't voted in awhile, go to the polls and claim to be that person. Even better, I will get one of my Hispanic employees who is not a citizen go to a black precinct and try to vote. I will bet you anything they will let him vote. I will even make it harder by getting him to use a name like "John Smith."

Voter fraud is rampant in minority precincts. Be careful daring people to "prove" it because it would be pretty easy to do. Dead people, mentally challenged, non-citizens, and absentee ballots are misused every election by the democrat party.

As far as winning and losing is concerned, I would rather lose and be honest than win and cheat. The problem is that you democrats don't feel that way. It is all about winning at all costs.

You can’t find it because most of Romney’s policies are either secrets OR hIdden down the road, Blackwater48. As member of the public, you’re simply not entitled to know or to enter the sacred clubhouse of the wealthiest 1% where policies are known-knowns. For you, it is an unknown-unknown, and it will remain so until Romney is good and ready to reveal all - if ever.

ROMNEY'S IMMIGRATION POLICY: "Down the Road"

“He said that before the November election he would lay out "a whole series of policies" on immigration, adding that "how we adjust our visa program to make it fit the needs of our country is something I'll be speaking about down the road. But I don't have anything for you on that at this stage."

ROMNEY'S VP POLICY POSITION: "Down the Road"

“Asked about Rubio's lack of experience — he has spent just two years in the Senate — and whether he differed in that respect from Obama, whom Romney has criticized as "over his head," the former Massachusetts governor said . . . "That is something that we're going to be considering down the road as we consider various potential vice presidential nominees," he said.

ROMNEY'S HEALTHCARE POLICY: "Public Details Prohibited"

“In public, Romney has only sketched the outlines of a plan, and aides have declined to answer questions about the details. But his public statements and interviews with advisors make clear that Romney has embraced a strategy that in crucial ways is more revolutionary — and potentially more disruptive — than the law Obama signed two years ago.”

Hmm let's see first it was the need to see his long form birth certificate, which he produced and the State of Hawaii authenticated. Now it's his grades your kind is interested in? Why? What deep dark secret do you think is contained in his school records? Talk about sick, sick, sick. Do you believe there was some great conspiracy when he was elected as head of the Harvard Law Review? Do you think when he got into Harvard they didn't consider his grades at all because they knew he was going to be President one day or do you think he bumped some other "worthy white student" from getting in because of Affirmative Action? After all how could he get in when he didn't have the connections of the Bush Family or the Romney Wealth? Right?

Tell you what when Mitt Romney releases ALL OF HIS TAX RECORDS FOR THE LAST 12 YEARS then you can talk about President Obama's school records. President Obama made a fool of birthers already, one would think that would be enough embarrassment but evidently not for some.

Naturalization push ahead of November election..The Associated Press

A colition of groups supporting immigrants has recruited teams of volunteers to help push programs they hope will add thousands of new U.S citizens to the voter rolls in several states in time for the Nov. election.

The department of Home Land Security says an estimated 12.6 million people were holding green cards given to legal permanent US residents in 2010, including 8.1 million people who already qualify for naturalization but have not applied for citizenship.

The "Become A Citizen NOW" campaign began in March and is hoping to help immigrants complete the application process to become citizens and register to vote, Tennessee is one of the many states they are targetting.

The article featured Yenith Berrio, a 40yr. old Columbian citizen who will be helped by these groups with the process to become a citizen and be able to vote in Nov.

It typically takes just over five months to acquire citizenship.

Those immigrants that apply their citizenship before the end of April are likely to be able to vote in this election, said Josh Hoyt, a co- chair of the National Partnership for New Americans.

I personally don't have a problem with the Mexican immigrants and believe their the ones we should have a plan for U.S. citizenship, however i do have a problem with immigrants from other countries, Middle East, Africa, India, PAkistani ETC.

So who is the real BHO: I think anybody who does research or listens to something other than the left media cheerleaders will find out. Again, environment counts and his environment/influences were not that of most Americans. Paying attention to what he does vs. what he says might be another clue (he’s a good liar to the uninformed), but you don't want to hear that. He is doing everything to destroy this country. He cannot run on his record. He is running on divide and conquer. Dividing this country into the haves and have not’s among other tactics of division. The Lefty Fools buy it hook, line and sinker.

Many on the left need to wake up. Many Democratic politician, afraid of losing their jobs, are turning on him and many Democratic informed voter are also. Hope the voters see through the politicians and vote the bums out.

This was an original ploy from the GOP republican side that backfired. Now they're trying to figure out how to best run'em out of the country by stiffening immigration laws and building massive immigration detention centers all around the country. OH! Let me get this straight... I have homes on Signal and one of the last bits of useable land in the town of Walden. I have a beautiful ranch. I am here in a 2 story, Mexico City, penthouse. I go to Cabo San Lucas and Europe whenever the hell I wish and have more cars than I can drive. I pay all of my corresponding taxes in both countries. You are where, said what and have???... You are what we call a poor, dumbass, neck.

On voter ID--here's a white guy asking 'Do you have an Eric Holder?' and getting invited to vote without showing any: http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/04/09/Okeefe-Holder

An article critical of the video admitted voter fraud sometimes happens, as does getting hit by lightning, and some people have been convicted of it. However rare, I'd be surprised if the number convicted is a big percentage of the number guilty. (World magazine in covering the A.D. 2000 election found five opportunities its staffers had run into personally.)

"tu_quoque said... No we really know that he is home grown but it’s difficult to admit that we have allowed such a destructive Progressive terminal cancer to grow in our political and cultural bodies. A statist cancer that devours you bit by bit in the name of the people"

If you and your kind didn't die from the "cancer" that was George W. Bush for EIGHT YEARS then you will surely survive EIGHT YEARS of President Barack Obama.
