Rants

WHY SHOULDN'T churches be prepared to pay their share for the water runoff from their big parking lots?

IF COMMUNITY leaders are using terms like "cease-fire" in relation to the Wilcox Boulevard area, then it's time to deploy the National Guard.

I THINK ALL those people who worship Sarah Palin shouldn't be called neo-cons but "Palintologists."

WHO SIGNS the president's expense reports? "We the People" should not be paying for his campaign trips for ObamaCare! We don't want it.

ONE-STEP HEALTH care debate: Step one, cancel every congressperson's current plan, effective immediately, not to be reinstated until a public option is in place.

IF THE HEALTH plan is so fantastic, why is Massachusetts getting rid of it and Canadians come to the U.S. for health care?

SO, THE REPUBLICAN candidates for the 3rd District want federal government out of our lives, yet they want a federal job and benefits. Hmm.

THE ERRONEOUS theory of global warming is nothing but hot air. Please send some this way!

HOW'S THAT again? Communist Cuban baseball player defects to U.S. -- rewarded with big money contract. Mexican laborer defects to U.S. -- rewarded with jail.

REGARDLESS OF what is said, all Signal Mountain Country Club members are not elitists. However, all elitists who live there are country club members.

YOU CONDO dwellers around Renaissance Park need to pick up after your dog. You know who you are!

MR. MAYOR, please use some of your windfall increases to fix DuPont Parkway, or else charge a fee to ride that roller coaster!

The fact is that churches are supported by after tax incomes. When you tax the churches, that is double taxation. Do we tax courthouses city government buildings?

Last I recall, I buy my groceries and pay my bills with income that has already been subject to an income tax. Talk about double taxation!
