University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football coach Russ Huesman discussed last week's win over Western Carolina, Appalachian State's Armanti Edwards, not meddling with the offense and much more during his weekly news conference Wednesday.

On the 24-20 come-from-behind win over Western Carolina ....
"That's a great win for us, this program and our guys -- especially our young guys."
"Those are all learning moments for our team. You learn something whether you win or lose."
On playing No. 8 Appalachian State ...
"Another Top 10 football team, another team that could win the whole thing. ... Team speed is incredible, very well coached and we've got our work cut out for us."
On Edwards' toughness last season ...
"Some of the shots he took, most people wouldn't get up from."
On Edwards running less the past two seasons ...
"If they wanted to run him more, he'd be averaging 144 a game."
On whether he'd rather have Edwards or Florida's Tim Tebow at quarterback ...
"I don't know, never thought about that."
"I just know Armanti's the best player in FCS football."
On defending Appalachian State, which leads the nation in total offense ...
"You start with (Edwards). You start with how can you contain him.
"You're not going to stop him; he's going to get his yards. In some ways, you got to kind of contain him."
"Obviously we can't give up huge, big plays, by him or anybody else."
On the Mocs' offense ...
"I don't know if we'll be able to run the ball. I hope we will. We got to find ways to move the ball, running it or throwing it."
"If you can't run it, you better make sure you're throwing it and catching it."
On offering suggestions to offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield ...
"I don't have much input on the offensive side of the ball."
"I've seen defensive coaches try to become offensive coaches and they're just idiots."
