Red Bank was the favorite and Soddy-Daisy the Cinderella story, but Ooltewah claimed the District 6-AAA boys’ basketball tournament title.
Behind Jerome Montgomery’s 24 points and Sammy Seamster’s 14 rebounds, the second-seeded Owls defeated fourth-seeded Soddy-Daisy 71-61 Friday night at Red Bank. Ooltewah clinched a 20-win season in wearing down the Trojans, who were hoping to build on Tuesday night’s upset of top-seeded Red Bank.
“We just wanted to come out here and prove everybody wrong,” Montgomery said. “We’ve got a good team that has great chemistry.”
That chemistry includes falling behind early, which Owls coach Jesse Nayadley could live without.
Soddy-Daisy took a 24-15 lead with 5:16 left in the half on a Craig Smith layup. Nayadley called time out, and the Owls responded with a 9-0 run capped by a Montgomery 3-pointer.
“We knew they would come out with a lot of emotion,” Nayadley said. “It’s not the best thing in the world, but we are a second-half team and have been all year. We came to play in the second half and went into a zone, and I think that hurt them.”
The Owls broke free from a 49-49 deadlock early in the fourth quarter with a 9-2 run behind inside baskets by Brian Williams and were never threatened again.
n Red Bank 100, Central 58: Nick Ross made eight 3-pointers and scored 40 points to lead the Lions to an easy win in the consolation game. Patrick Moore led the Purple Pounders with nine 3-pointers and 31 points.

The whole internet system here in the United States is run from a CIA office in Signal Mountain TN.
They also contract with the US Military the basic 250.000 MHRZ wave freqency that they run it on is very powerful. Also a short wave * Alpha Ditrot Radio * does the rest as a filter and acts as a firewall to stop an incoming scamp virus that might infect the main fame.

If you do get a chance to read it you will never allow a computer voting system like DIEBOT to take over the old fashion way of doing it by paper ballot.
Is this really still being emailed so much every day to keep it on the "top emailed" list? I will post a note every day until this glitch is fixed. Well, except for weekends. That's when I run the internet on Signal Mtn for the CIA.
Sure is a bunch of old-story-emailing-fools out there. Be back Monday!
Wow, how time flies. Time to post another exciting opinion about those Montgomery-led Owls!!
Hoot hoot! Way to go Owls!!!!
Clearly the Trojans are only good for a prevent defense. Very few make it to the hole against the Trojans.
Yes!! At least for now, I have pushed this to the "top commented stories".
Well that didn't last long. But this is still a "top emailed". I can take solace in that...
Whew, I was afraid that this story had faded from being a top emailed story. Glad to see it is back being a top story so everyone can see the glory of those Owls. Hoot hoot!!
I knew the emailers would keep this as a top story in my absence!! WTG emailers!! Email this story far and wide! Spread the gospel of these miraculous Owls!! Thanks TFP for never letting this tribute to high school basketball slip from our minds.
Owls! Owls! Owls! Owls!
Certainly this isn't still here through any error on the part of the TFP!?!?
It must be the Owls unmitigated awesomeness!
Oh this is getting tiresome. Or it would be, save the awesomeness of those Owls!!
A group of owls ((hoo <-- get it?) are usually solitary) is called a parliament.
Parliament Funkadelic baby! Wow, this is back to being kind of funny again. Until I get banned anyway!!
man, I thought this story was gone again for a second! We can't let it die!! OWLS forever!!
No NBA this year? Come watch the Owls, they're better than any pro team!!
Someone works in IT, I am sure of it. I think.
You can't keep the Owls down!!
I've got spirit. Yes I do.
I've got spirit. How about you?
I guess you do, since someone keeps emailing the crap out of this story!!
XGSBoss: This is hilarious. Keep it going 'til the TFP responds.
Welcome to the Owls party! But if you don't believe that they Owls are the tops, you can keep on truckin'. Hoot Hoot!! Keep emailing the story far and wide!!
Occasionally, I will see a story that is older than this one on the most emailed list. It scares me. I get scared when I think of another story beating the longevity record that this one has. All those hard working Owls deserve to have the oldest of the emailed stories, all to themselves. So keep emailing people!!
See?!?!?!?!? Right now (it will be gone soon I'm sure) there is a story from April 17, 2008 on the "most emailed" section of the TFP site, Hispanic community rocked by plant raid.
It scares the crap out of me people!! We can't let it displace our mighty Owls story from the most emailed ranks!!!! Keep emailing this story of Owls legend far and wide!! The other story might be older, but this one has Owls in it!!
