The Chattanooga Region’s Diverse Music Scene
On this week’s MUSICcast, Casey Phillips and I will take a look at some of our favorite regional performers. Chattanooga, and the surrounding area, is lucky to have such a varying, eclectic mix of music, with everything from traditional bluegrass to gothic death metal. We’ll focus on a few of our favorite local-ish performers including Chattanooga’s reggae band, Milele Roots, and Calhoun’s the Lovell Sisters. Our goal is to introduce you to our local music scene and, perhaps, you’ll catch a live show in the future.
Some Shows:
Big Al Anderson & the Balls will close out this year’s Nightfall season. Opening will be Lumbar Five. Admission is free.
The Local has LOW FEST II tonight, featuring Hoth, Samothrace, Eloquence Of Suffering, and Gravebound. Admission is $5
Coverbands are the name of the game this weekend at Rhythm & Brews. Tonight, 80z-Enuff performs. Saturday, Fly By Radio is the headliner.
Harper will perform at Riverfront Nights this Saturday. The show is free.
