Whenever I get recommendations for restaurants from readers, I always try to follow up with a visit.

Recently, though, I got an e-mail from “Bill” writing to tell me of five restaurants in the Dalton area, all of which sound delicious. But, I’m trying to limit my driving until gas is once again plentiful and less-expensive.

So, what I’d like to do is get a few more recommendations from any of you reading this who have favorite dining places around Dalton. Or, do you agree with Bill that these are the best: Runions (buffet); Amici (Italian); Iron Gate (pizza); Luigi’s (Italian) and Bar Meath (no description). Also, Planet of the Grapes just opened and I’m anxious to check that out.

If I can get about three more places, I’d like to do an “On the Road to Dalton” story about places to eat. So e-mail me and let me know to which restaurants you’ve given the nod.
