Chattanooga: Augusta State with early lead

A steady afternoon rain has not hampered the efforts of the University of Georgia men’s golf team in the NCAA East Regional.

The Bulldogs were at 13-under par as each of the five golfers finished their first nine holes. Former McCallie star Adam Mitchell and Russell Henley led the Bulldogs at 4 under.

Augusta State completed its round, and is in second at 6 under led by Henrik Norlander who shot a 6-under-par 65 in the morning.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga was tied for 18th at 1-over-par after each of its golfer completed their first nine holes. Ben Rickett leads the Mocs at 2 under.

See Friday’s Chattanooga Times Free Press for coverage from the NCAA East Regional.
