KNOXVILLE — Tennessee point guard Jordan Howell just put a nice spin on the Volunteers’ rotating individual senior night festivities.

Howell, a talented singer and piano player, recently recorded a performance of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” to air in Thompson-Boling Arena during his senior night highlight reel.

Putting it mildly, the crowd — and both teams — loved it. Players from Tennessee and Auburn laughed and pointed while fans clapped along.

Maybe that performance will get Auburn native Howell out of his month-long shooting slump. Howell is 9 for 32 behind the arc in UT’s past nine games, and the Vols could use some of his early-season treys in March.
